It was our pleasure to create a special trophy at the request of Mayor Deanne Armstrong • Jonestown, Texas (our home base!)
The trophy would be awarded to the "Best In Show" car, by Mayor Armstrong, during the Classic Car Show at the 1st Annual OktoberFest on Lake Travis. The event was held at Jones Brother's Park - a spectacular setting along the North Shore of Lake Travis.
For this piece, it was envisioned that many of these "classics" were found somewhere out in a Texas field... so that became the concept. (added note: found out at the show that a 43 Ford was found in creek!)
The base is made of local limestone from the Texas Hill Country / the 32ish Ford is sculpted from steel and acid etched for it's patina.
The award text is hand painted over acid etched steel.
... based on the concept, we call this piece: "Found Treasure"
